EarthFest
I wrote the copy, created the visual content, and developed the carousel to introduce the event, highlight participating organizations and activities, and encourage people to attend.
🌎💚 Earth Day is a good excuse to slow down for a minute and appreciate the place we call home—and the people who make it feel like home.
For us, that means celebrating the farmers, artists, small businesses, nonprofits, community organizations, and neighbors who are all doing their part to make New Mexico a better place to live.
And what better way to do that than with our annual EarthFest? 🌱
Join us Sunday, April 19, from 10am–4pm in front of our Nob Hill location for a day filled with live music, food, local vendors, activities, and plenty of opportunities to meet the people and organizations doing great things around our community.
EarthFest has always been about more than celebrating the planet for one day. It’s also about celebrating the people who live here and the different ways we can take care of our community and the place we call home.
Throughout the day, you’ll be able to meet local artists, makers, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations. These are people who spend their time, energy, creativity, and passion making New Mexico a better place. When you show up for a local business or organization, you’re helping support that work.
And sometimes, you don’t need a bigger reason than getting outside and enjoying a beautiful spring day with your neighbors. ☀️
We’ll have live music, hands-on activities for kids and adults, local vendors, good food, and plenty to explore. Maybe you want to learn something new about sustainability. Maybe you’re looking for a new local organization to support. Maybe you want to pick up something handmade, listen to some music, grab a bite, or just wander around for a while.
Whatever brings you out, there will be something to enjoy.
Bring the kids. Bring your friends. Bring your neighbors. Bring someone who has never been to EarthFest before.
Come walk around, meet some new people, discover something you didn’t know was happening right here in your own backyard, and spend the day celebrating the place we’re lucky enough to call home. 🌻
Because taking care of the Earth doesn’t always have to mean doing something huge. Sometimes it looks like choosing local. Supporting a small business. Buying from a local farmer. Planting something. Picking up a piece of litter. Riding your bike. Learning from someone in your community.
And sometimes, it’s as simple as getting together, sharing a meal, listening to music, and enjoying the people around you.
That’s one of our favorite things about EarthFest.
It’s a chance to remember that taking care of our community and taking care of the planet are often connected. The choices we make matter, but so do the relationships we build with the people around us.
So come spend the day with us! 🌎💚
Enjoy some good food. Listen to some great music. Meet local makers and organizations. Let the kids get their hands dirty. Learn something new. Support a local business. Say hello to your neighbors.
Most of all, come celebrate Earth Day with us in a way that’s fun, welcoming, and full of community.

The Bean
The Bean was a publication about food, community, sustainability, and the people connected to La Montañita Food Co-op.
I was responsible for all of the photography and worked closely with a colleague on the magazine’s layout and design. I was also involved in the editorial side of the publication, interviewing people, gathering information, and helping shape the stories that appeared in each issue.
It was a project that brought together a lot of the work I enjoy most—photography, writing, design, interviewing, and finding creative ways to tell stories about our community.

I wrote this article and took the accompanying photograph.
For this story, I visited a local farm near Belen, New Mexico, to photograph and interview the farmers.
I then co-wrote the article with a colleague, combining our interviews and reporting with the photography from the visit.
This is an article I wrote based on an interview I conducted about Pueblo foods, traditions, and their connection to the community.
